The Imbaba roof

At Imbaba Station I executed the roof structure installation while Upper Egypt rail services continued operating.

The roof was installed with zero service interruption and zero safety incidents.

What I managed

  • End-to-end execution of multiple metro stations, with site teams of 400+ workers.
  • Subcontractors and contracts, including cost control through resource optimisation and productivity initiatives.
  • Schedule, budget and quality KPIs, tracked and reported through Aconex.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting to the client authorities.

Context

Line 3 Phase 3 of the Greater Cairo Metro is 18 km of double track with 15 stations. Its sections opened in stages: Attaba to Kit Kat in October 2022, Kit Kat to Rod El-Farag Axis in January 2024, and Kit Kat to Cairo University in May 2024.
